Getting QR codes that scan every time
QR codes let people open a link, pay you, or join your Wi-Fi just by pointing their phone camera — no typing needed. Shops use them for UPI payments, restaurants for menus, and businesses on visiting cards, posters and packaging.
UPI payment QR codes work with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and every other UPI app. Enter your UPI ID (you can find it in your UPI app's profile). Add an amount for a fixed bill, or leave it empty so the customer types the amount. Always test with a small payment before printing.
Wi-Fi QR codes let guests connect without you reading out a long password. They work with the built-in camera on most Android phones and iPhones.
The codes made here are static: the information is stored inside the pattern itself, so they never expire and don't depend on any website. The flip side is that you can't change where a printed code points — make a new one instead.
For reliable scanning, keep a dark code on a light background with strong contrast, leave the white border around it, and print it at least 2 cm wide (bigger if people scan from far away). Use SVG for print, since it stays sharp at any size, and PNG for websites, WhatsApp and documents. Higher error correction makes a code more robust if it gets scratched or dirty, at the cost of a denser pattern.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They are static QR codes, so the link, payment details or Wi-Fi details are stored inside the code itself. They work forever and don’t depend on our website.
Is it safe to make a UPI payment QR code here?
Yes. The QR code is generated in your browser and your UPI ID is never sent to our server. A UPI QR code only lets people send money to you; it cannot be used to take money from your account.
Can I change the link after printing the QR code?
No. Static QR codes can’t be edited after they are made. If your link might change, point the QR code to a page you control and update that page instead.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
Use PNG for websites, WhatsApp, Word and PowerPoint. Use SVG for printing on posters, banners or packaging, because it stays sharp at any size.
Why won’t my QR code scan?
The most common reasons are low contrast between the colours, a light-coloured code on a dark background, cutting off the white border, or printing it too small. Use dark-on-light colours and print it at least 2 cm wide.
Can I use these QR codes for business?
Yes. The QR codes are free to use for personal and commercial purposes, with no watermark and no sign-up.
